We all need a show that makes us smile, whether we’re sad or happy. These 6 TV series are perfect for that and we cannot stop ourselves from watching them again and again.

Jane the Virgin

If the show’s premise can seem a bit ridiculous (a young woman who gets pregnant by being accidentally inseminated), Jane The Virgin was able to twist this and give the audience a really beautiful story. Jane, a very colorful character, goes through life between beautiful encounters, dramatical events, love and life lessons. She always finds hope even in the saddest of situations. And more importantly, who wouldn’t a narrator to tell our story?

The Good Place

Everything is in the title… How can a show called “The Good Place”not be a feel good show? More seriously, in this adventure we embark into the after-life with a group of characters who have to make amends and learn how to be a good person. The Good Place is filled with unexpected twists, comedy and emotions. She helps understand how you can change your life and the ones around you by being a good person.

One Day at a Time

This sitcom follows the daily life of a Cuban-American family living in Los Angeles. The mother, Penelope, is a single woman working as a nurse who was in the army before and she lives with her two children, Elena and Alex and her mother Lydia. Not forgetting their intrusive neighbor Schneider. One Day at a Time addresses serious issues (homophobia, racism, PTSD, desertion…) in a light-hearted way and with humor. It’s a show with a lot of emotions and we cannot help but ask for more.

Parks and Recreation

The show really found its voice during its second season (after a very short first one) and offered countless comedy moments and unforgettable scenes. Parks and Recreation recounts the daily lives of people working in the parks and recreation department of a town called Pawnee. And even though it would be hard to be bored in this town, filled with people who cannot seem to stop complaining about their lives, we wouldn’t say no to live in it, just to meet Leslie Knope and her friends.

Schitt’s Creek

A phenomenon series of 2020 and 2021, with its numerous awards (including the prestigious Golden Globes and Emmy Awards), Schitt's Creek is one of the must-see comedies. It follows the members of a wealthy family who lose everything after being scammed. They have to adapt to a simpler life and it's not easy every day when you are used to a certain lifestyle. And of course, it's very funny!
