6 TV stars revelation from 2021

06/01/2022

2021 was blessed by many new shows starring incredible actors. Amongst them, there are some who already left their mark on the audience. Focus on these new TV faces that we will probably see again very soon.

Ho-yeon Jung from Squid Game

In Squid Game, she is Sae-byeok AKA number 067. And for the French audience, her role in the south-korean show is a true revelation. She soon became a new face for fashion, even though we’ve already seen her for Chanel. Even worse, she made such a strong impact that some fashion magazines didn’t hesitate to state that shadows under the eyes - as the ones Sae-byeok as in the show - would become the next makeup trend. One thing is for sure, this particular face is not to be forgotten.

Regé-Jean Page from Bridgerton

Even though Bridgerton came out at the end of 2020, Regé-Jean Page clearly left his mark on 2021. He is the ultimate crush for the fans of the Shonda Rhimes’ show. Within a few weeks, he was considered to become the next James Bond, sang on the Saturday Night Live stage and was voted GQ Man of Year. To say the least.

Laetitia Kerfa from Validé

With only two seasons, Franck Gastambide’s show produced by CANAL+, Validé, seems to have a gift for propelling new artists. If the show’s vocation is not to serve as a springboard for new talents who start acting (and vice versa), it is evident that Validé has created a new phenomenon. After Hatik who played Apash, it’s Laetita Kerfa’s turn to be the heroine of Validé, playing Lalpha. Off camera, Laeti now has approximately 500 000 listeners on Spotify. The beginning of a true success story.

Jessie Mei Li from Shadow and Bone

Coming from theater, the British actress Jessie Mei Li was revealed thanks to her role in Shadow and Bone. The one playing the lead role of Alina Starkov in Netflix fantasy show then joined the cast of Last Night in Soho next to Anya Taylor-Joy. Something tells us that she is here to stay.

Baptiste Masseline and Gaspard Meier-Chaurand from Mixte

Available on Amazon Prime Video since the summer of 2021, the French show Mixte received a very warm welcome. It is partly due to the fact that it has a really likeable cast, who gave Mixte a particular charm. If you had to memorize two names that would be the ones of Baptise Masseline (Jean-Pierre) and Gaspard Meier-Chaurand (Laubrac). These two young actors definitely left their mark on fans of the show and we are surely going to see them again in the French television landscape.

Antonia Gentry from Ginny & Georgia

Today, the 24 years old actress has approximately 2 millions Instagram followers, a real indicator of how famous she is now.
