Friends celebrate their 25th anniversary

September the 22nd marked the 25th anniversary of the legendary series Friends! collector's take a look back at the different celebrations organized around the world to mark the event...

On September 22, 1994, Friends landed on our screens. After an extraordinary success, the global phenomenon featuring Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courtney Cox), Ross (David Schwimmer), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc), bid farewell to more than 52 million television viewers on May 6, 2004, after a tenth season! Today, the series has not lost one once of its popularity. No wonder that the 25 years of the show are celebrated in such great manner.

Google has decided to participate in the festivities! On September 19th, the American firm has been offering a nod to the fans. Simply type in the search bar the name of one of the heroes of the series and an icon appears on the right side of the result page. All you have to do is click on it to discover an animated surprise!

Warner Bros also hit hard. In a huge loft in Soho, south of Manhattan, the set of the series has been carefully crafted in great detail. The mini exhibition is fully booked until its closing day.

30 replicas of the famous orange sofa have been made and placed in major cities! The famous armchair, recognizable among thousands, will of course have its place in New York, but also in Paris, Berlin, Rome, London... Enough to take pictures that you will be sure to post on Instagram!

LEGO, the famous Danish company also joined the game of celebrations! The company has released a collector's edition box dedicated to Central Perk, the café where the characters meet on a daily basis.

Ralph Lauren also did not hesitate to get involved. As fans of the show know, Rachel first worked at Bloomingdale's, then at Ralph Lauren. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show, the company decided to pay tribute to their most famous employee by creating a collection inspired by her wardrobe. A dream for all fashionistas!

And to top it all off, it is on the big screen that the world's most famous band of friends celebrated their birthday. On September 23rd and 28th and on October 2nd, 12 episodes of the series were screened in the movies! The opportunity for the aficionados of the series to relive the iconic moments of the show...
