Read moreWhile the 62nd edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place from June 16th to 20th, 2023, in Monaco, let’s discover the professional program of the event.
Laurent Puons, CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, will welcome speakers and attendees to launch the "Business Content" of the 62nd edition on Saturday, June 17th, starting at 5 pm at the Salle Genevoix in the Forum Grimaldi. This will be followed by an event hosted by directors/actors James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti from 5:45 pm. While the first episode of the second season of their TV show Everyone Is Doing Great will premiere at the festival, they will share their unique insight of independent television and its promising future in the scripted content landscape. After that, festival-goers will meet at 6:20 pm to discuss culture and diversity in media and entertainment.
Festival guests and PRO Pass holders are invited to the Salle Genevoix at 5 pm to attend a conference on the latest trends and opportunities for TV series producers in the TV3.0 market. The conference will be led by Rémi Tereszkiewicz, an expert in OTT services and TV series marketing, as well as the CEO of the BetaSeries platform. He will be joined at 5:30 pm by Antoine Chotard, who is in charge of Samsung TV Plus in France, for a conversation about the FAST ecosystem and the producers who have entered this market. Finally, at 6:25 pm, there will be a discussion about generative AI, a type of artificial intelligence capable of producing various types of content such as texts and images, and its potential impact on storytelling. The event will be hosted by Patrick Aryee, Mathilde Fiquet, and Frank Spotnitz.
On Monday, June 19th, at 5 pm, the Salle Genevoix will host a panel of seasoned producers to discuss how they navigate the current landscape, the reasons why co-productions are coming back in fashion, the path to achieving sustainable production, and the response of broadcasters, streamers, and distributors to the challenges ahead. Then, starting at 6 pm, documentary filmmakers will be the focus of a conference where a panel of experts will share their vision for future trends driving the industry.
