Read moreA few shows have been known to win over watchers, but it may happen that a particular scene stays engraved in memories forever. A quite original moment, intense or completely crazy, etched in people’s minds. Here’s the proof with these 6 scenes.
Between Ned Stark’s dead, Joffrey being poisoned and Oberyn cold blooded murder, Game of Thrones gave its watchers many iconic scenes. But one of them really traumatized the fans, who now talk about it as the Red Wedding. This scene is in the 9th episode of the third season, called The Rains of Castamere, showing the horrible death of two of the main characters. After making an alliance with Walder Frey, the Starks are happily celebrating the wedding of their daughter, when everything turns dark. Talisa, Robb’s pregnant wife is brutally stabbed in the belly, before her husband also dies, speared from a sword’s blade. Caitelyn is blatantly slaughtered in front of the satisfied host who betrayed them. Two members of the Stark families perished in this blood bath, thus horrifying the fans like never before.
Here’s a scene that truly struck with Vikings fans. Ivar, on the English territory, screaming at his enemies. In season 5 episode 3, the Boneless faces his adversaries for a few minutes, powerless but still incredibly terrifying. Sitting against his broken carriage, Ragnar’s son defies the brits soldiers while laughing, screaming and threatening them. With blood dripping down his face, he gets into a martial speech in his Norse language, proudly claiming “I am Ivar the Boneless” and that he is invincible. Strong words and seemingly convincing, enough to keep the soldiers away. None of them tries to kill Ivar, even though he appeared armless. A quite remarkable monologue.
This is not a particular scene, but rather a multitude of them that surprised the watchers. Able to feel what their peers feel and communicate with them even thousands of miles apart, the sensates live things more intensely than anybody else. This being, they go through a particular experience when it comes to sex. Their perceptions get mixed, resulting in big sensorial orgies. The characters’ bodies get entangled in a passionate and daring picture, which left a print in fans’ memories.
While season 2 ended with an original musical episode marrying space, sex and aliens, Adam Groff comes to close the atypical show with an unexpected love confession. The young man claims his love to Eric Effiong on stage, between aliens and metallic armors, making, at the same time, his public coming out. Between the crazy directing of Lily and this twist in Otis’ best friend’s life, it’s impossible to forget this moving and funny moment.
The Office fans have no trouble remembering this scene as it is quite disturbing. Trying to prove to his employees that he is not homophobic in the first episode of season 3, Michael Scott decides to get publicly closer to his gay colleague, Oscar. And what a turn of events! After hugging for some time, the abominable boss of Dunder Mifflin decides to lean in and languorously kiss him. The poor Oscar finds himself trapped between those lips he never desired. A really awkward moment when you know it was totally improvised by Steve Carell and that his partner had to adapt quickly to this funny scenario.
Iconic scene from the very first episode of Desperate Housewives, the moment when Gabrielle mows the lawn in a party outfit stayed in everyone’s mind. Having to hide her love affair with her gardener, the young woman has no choice but to take care of the lawn herself. She sneaks out of the party where she is with her husband Carlos and mows the lawn quickly in front of her place. No time to change, so she obviously is doing that in heels and a party dress. A scene that’s worth it !
