Last night, the Principality of Monaco was buzzing: The Monte-Carlo Television Festival began!
For the occasion, many stars have walked the red carpet such as Ricky Whittle, the cast of Demain Nous Appartient, Pedro Alonso (Casa de Papel), Marc Ruchmann, Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba, Mathilde Seigner, Kelly McCreary, Jay Hernandez and many others.
Fans and photographs welcomed Rebecca Hampton, Grant Lawrens, Serge Dupire or Fabienne Carat, the actors of “Plus belle la vie", who opened the night. Many celebrities have even taken the time to sign some autographs.
After taking many pictures at the Photocall set up for the occasion, the guests headed to the Grimaldi Forum's Salle des Princes for an exciting Opening Ceremony.
Belgium TV host Julie Taton opened the ceremony with an elegant speech, brilliantly conducted in French and English!
The speech was then entrusted to S.A.S. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Honorary President of the Festival, who introduced the members of the news and fiction juries and officially opened the 59th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
Then Didier Allouch the famous Hollywood reporter for Canal Plus, took the floor and invited Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union to join him on stage. The two actresses, who came to present their new series “L.A.’s Finest”, wanted to highlight the feminist side of the series that features two women in a generally very masculine realm. And big news, they announced in world exclusive, the renewal of the series for a Season 2.
The audience was then able to discover in French premiere the first episode. Then followed a superb evening at the Jimmy'z, hosted by a DJ, where many stars attended.
This 59th edition of the Festival has had a rough start! And many more surprises are to come...
