These male characters with very inspiring looks

18/05/2021

TV series can be real inspirations for everyday life, and that includes fashion. And men are not forgotten since there are some really stylish characters on TV. Focus on male characters with very inspiring looks.

Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders

We know that a TV character won his fashion bet when you can see little dopplegangers of him in the street. And Thomas Shelby can definitely testify of that since Peaky Blinders’ lead character is now a true inspiration from French barbers. Cillian Murphy’s character is the archetype of the classy British men from the 1920s. Jacket, small chain, old fashioned cap and hair shaved with precision, the Shelbys have an unrivaled sense of style.

Eric Effiong in Sex Education

Of course there’s a place for Eric Effiong in this non exhaustive list of stylish TV male characters. The British teenager we discovered in Sex Education is audacious et it’s what we’re here to underline today. Bright colors, 90s patterns, Eric isn’t afraid of anything and it’s for the best. Better yet, when he wears glitters around his eyes, it’s all the fashionistas’ hearts that vibrate.

Don Draper in Mad Men

Here is another TV character who is always classy: Don Draper. Played by Jon Hamm, Don Draper has become a true symbol for elegance. The ad executive lives almost exclusively in well-tailored suits; yet, even when he’s not behind his desk, he knows how to rock a trench coat, very close-fitting polo shirts or even sleeveless cardigans. A lifestyle that any dandy 2.0 can adopt right now.

Will in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

It’s a deep dive in the colorful and twinkling 90s with Will’s character. And for good reason since The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air came out in 1990! Fashion is a cycle and the very colorful outfits Will Smith wore back then can easily be found in the streets today. Either with a total look for the bravest or with small accessories (hello fanny packs) for the fearful ones.

Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl

If the ladies from Gossip Girl gave fans true runaway shows at every episode, men were not outdone. And rather than talking about the boho Lonely Boy from Brooklyn (Dan Humphrey), we chose Chuck Bass (played by Ed Westwick). One of the only characters to bring the thin scarf back into fashion. If his morals are debatable, his sense style isn’t: everybody agrees to say that fashion runs in his veins. Well, yes, he is a teenager wearing unaffordable and extremely well-tailored suits, so what?
