Read moreIncredible in their roles on television, some TV actors and actresses sometimes have more than one trick up their sleeve. Gifts in art or in sport that you never suspected. Let's take a look at some actors with a well-hidden talent.
Star of the How I Met Your Mother series in which he plays Barney Stinson, Neil Patrick Harris is far from being a simple actor. Gifted in dancing, theater acting, but also singing, the American actor has yet another talent. Passionate about magic since his childhood, he regularly enchants his audiences with impressive card numbers or other equally spellbinding tricks. On TV, it is therefore not uncommon to see the artist offer a few minutes of conjuring, which earned him a membership in the Hollywood Academy of Magical Arts.
Key character Chandler Bing of Friends, Matthew Perry hasn't always dreamed of being a comedian. As a teenager, he wanted to break into tennis, a sport he had played since he was 4 years old and in which he excelled. As a teenager, the Canadian actor ranked 17th nationally in singles and 3rd in doubles. Good performances which gave him hope for a professional career in the tennis world. However, when he was 15, he left to join his father in Los Angeles and then suffered several losses which demoralized him, prompting him to give up the sport.
Patrick Dempsey is obviously full of surprises. Mainly known for his role as Derek Shepherd in the series Grey's Anatomy, the comedian almost found success through the circus. An excellent juggler, he made money with his acts as a teenager and wished he had continued in that direction. However, he failed to break through with his scenic talents and therefore turned to the cinema. The actor having nevertheless remained a real jack of all trades, he also leads a parallel career as a racing driver and regularly participates in major competitions, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans or those of Daytona.
In addition to her acting and modeling skills, Christina Hendricks cultivates a passion for the accordion. In the Mad Men series, she also shows her qualities as a musician in a very sweet scene, where she accompanies herself by singing "C'est Magnifique!". The 45-year-old actress admitted to having set her sights on this instrument for its rich sound and its romantic side. For her, nothing could be more glamorous than strumming on a languid ballad with Parisian tones.
Known worldwide for having played Penny in The Big Bang Theory series, Kaley Cuoco is also an outstanding rider. A great friend of horses, the young woman practices horse riding at a high level and regularly participates in show jumping competitions. And if she devotes herself to this sport only in her spare time, the actress had a life or death situation there. Having fallen, Charmed's witch had her leg completely broken when her horse stepped on her. It came close to amputation, but the surgeons finally managed to operate wonders.
Between two takes for the Riverdale series, in which she lends her features to Betty Cooper, Lili Reinhart writes poems. Inspired by her personal story, the young woman puts her emotions on paper with undeniable talent. In September 2020, she even published her first collection called Swimming Lessons. The start of a new career as an author for the 24-year-old actress.
