Read moreIn fashion, you can take your inspiration from everywhere. If some draw their ideas from art, others see in TV characters an endless source of inspiration. Case in point with these six characters who give us a great fashion lesson.
The quality of Peaky Blinders has been proven repeatedly. When a pop culture element transgresses this much society, the bet is won! Many have been inspired by the precise hairstyle, almost military, of the Peaky Blinders. From Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) we keep his elegance, his Gavroche style cap, his long dark coat and his jacket with the visible chain! Already a classic.
Villanelle (Jodie Comer) is, without a doubt, the best dressed psychopath on the small screen. If this young woman possesses a certain taste for her missions, she is also a fashion addict, passionate about designer clothes. Villanelle like pretty things, noble fabrics but also impropable pairings... Her most iconic look? A pink tulle dress with big boots. Exquisite!
Like Thomas Shelby, Don Draper (Jon Hamm) is a character with an important aesthetic. With Mad Men we dive right into the 60s and it gives us a tour of the decors and styles of this era. Don Draper represents masculine style, with his perfectly suited suits and his perfect hairstyle. If class had a name, it would probably be Don Draper.
The Duchess arrives on Netflix recently but we can already say that Katherine (Ryan, also the creator and main character of the show) is amongst the most fashionable TV characters that can be a real source of inspiration. During 6 episodes, Katherine Ryan gives us her best look, which one more extravagant than the next. Her look is composed with headbands and pairings that would give a rash to anyone who is not into fashion. Special nod to her long spangled cardigan that she wears like a robe to bring her daughter to school. Already a classic.
No more men in suits, let's dive into fashion with Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa), one of the main characters of the teen series Sex Education! It's important to mention Eric since he is a teenager that totally assumes himself despite his young age. He has a very colorful style, very 90s: this young man doesn't hesitate to mix colors and prints for an optimal look!
Finally, it's hard to mention fashion without talking about Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies), Dynasty's new generation heroine. This young woman is always beautifully dressed. Her style is not really audacious per say but incredibly chic whereas she's wearing an elegant dress or a pantsuit, in truth, Fallon Carrington is always stylish.
