The ones who loved Get Out are really impatient to discover the horrific show Lovecraft Country. And for a good reason since it counts Jordan Peele amongst its producers, the one who gave life to the internationally acclaimed movie Get Out. The show seems to follow in its footsteps since it tells the story of a young african american who crosses over the US looking for his missing dad during segregation. And what's coming next is certain to make us shiver... Lovecraft Country will be released in August on HBO.
Disney+ will soon welcome its very first MCU tv series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The show will focus on what happens after Avengers: Endgame when Sam Wilson aka The Falcon is given Captain America's shield. We will also follow Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. If the show was supposed to be released in august, the global coronavirus pandemic seems to have shaken up Disney+ planning. One to watch!
If The Lord of the Rings saga is amongst your classics, the show that will come out on Amazon Prime Video must be part of your most anticipated shows. It will take place 3000 years before the events we find in Tolkien's books and therefore, 3000 years before the movie saga we all know and love. What event will it focus on? The Ring's creation no less! The show is expected to come out in 2021.
Game of Thrones clearly left its mark. HBO's hit show is gonna have its own spin-off, House of the Dragon, focusing on the Targaryens. The show will recount the origins of House Targaryen in 10 episodes. Incidentally, George R. R. Martin, the author of the original saga, is co-creator of the show. House of the Dragon is coming to HBO in 2022.
In line with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision is also a highly anticipated show from Marvel's unconditionals. This one, like its title implies, it focuses on Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in this miniseries of 9 episodes. If fans were expecting it for December 2020 on Disney+, the show was push back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As soon as Ryan Murphy announces a new project, fans of the director get excited. All the more because this new project is with Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) and incorporates a literary classic, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. For this Ryan Murphy show, developed by Netflix and called Ratched, Sarah Paulson will play the creepy nurse Mildred Ratched. The show is expected for September on Netflix.
