TV series parents we would love to have

TV series sometimes give us family examples that are polar opposites from ours. There are some parents that make you cringe at your TV and others that warm your heart. So much that you would love for them to be YOUR parents. Here are 5 examples.

Jean Milburn from Sex Education

Otis Milburn's mom, Sex Education's lead, may not be the first person we think about when talking about parents we would love to have. Yet, Jean (played by Gillian Anderson) is so open-minded that she becomes the ideal mom to approach certain issues specific to teens, like sex. This is not surprising since she's a sexologist. If this particularity can be seen as embarrassing, Otis will soon realize the chance he had to grow up in a house with such a freedom to express himself. Plus, Jean is also a loving, as well as stylish, mother.

Jack et Rebecca Pearson from This is Us

It is impossible not to mention THE best couple: Jack and Rebecca Pearson from This Is Us. The show famous for making everybody cry also has one of the strongest couples, a team ready to face anything and everything. Played by Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, the Pearsons are an example of understanding, empathy and support. Their relationship is far from being perfect, but they are always tirelessly and firmly there for their kids.

Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls

If the relationship between Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) is not always perfect, Lorelai still is one of these parents we would have loved to have. The reason? She's a strong and independent woman who raised her daughter alone. And it's hard to battle between a professional life and the one of a young mother when you are still a teenager. Although caring, attentive and always a strong support for her daughter, Lorelai can have the tendency to consider Rory morre as a best friend than her child.

Phil et Claire Dunphy de Modern Family

From the outside, Phil and Claire Dunphy are hilarious. If they can be considered as more or less strict, we can all agree that they always act with their children's best interests at heart. Phil only dreams about sharing his passions with his son Luke to spend quality time with him. And Claire stresses about Haley's future, worried that she is heading for trouble. Together, they are a strong duo to raise their three kids. Plus, like we said, they're hilarious!

Lena et Stefanie Adams Foster from The Fosters

We end our tour with the couple formed by Lena and Stefanie Adams Foster from The Fosters. These two women are almost the perfect example for parents, them who raised a pretty nice group of kids. What we love about Lena and Stefanie is the fact that they give the same amount of energy and love to raise their biological and adoptive children. Between benevolence and tough love when needed, the Fosters are the perfect family!
